Children's Mental Health Week
The week beginning 9th February 2026 was Mental Health Week and we have been focusing on building resilience. In collective worship, the children learnt what it means to 'bounce back' when things feel tricky and why it's important to keep trying, even if something doesn't work the first time. We explored helpful strategies such as breaking big tasks down into smaller steps, having a Plan B and turning 'I can't' into 'I can'. The children have had thoughtful discussions and have been practising these positive mindset skills in their learning throughout the week.
In addition, Year 5 and 6 were visited by our Phase Trust colleagues who delivered workshops which focused on this year's theme: 'This is my Place' which tied in beautifully with our school value of belonging.
