This week at Cradley...

Our final week of term has been filled with highlights, especially the tremendous attitudes, resilience, and perseverance shown by pupils during their Rainbow Walk. This truly reflects the spirit of Cradley CE.

We also shared a special Easter service, celebrating together as a school community and reflecting on the Christian message that we all belong together.

A heartfelt thank you to all staff for their dedication and hard work, to our pupils for their consistently positive attitudes and efforts throughout the term, and to our governors and parents for their continued support.

Wishing everyone a peaceful and restful Easter break, with time to make special memories together.

Collective Worship

This week in worship, we reflected on the story of Mary at the empty tomb. She felt sad, confused and alone, until she heard Jesus gently call her name. In that moment, everything changed—she knew she was not alone, but seen, known and loved.

We thought about how powerful names are. When someone uses our name with kindness, it helps us feel that we belong. The children explored how small actions—like including someone, offering encouragement, or simply saying a name warmly—can bring comfort and hope to others.

As a school, this links closely to our vision of believing, belonging and being happy, reminding us that we all have a part to play in helping others feel noticed and valued each day.

Reflection:
• When has someone calling your name made you feel safe or comforted?
• How can we make sure everyone in our family feels seen and included?
• Who might need a kind word or invitation from you this week?

Prayer

Dear God,

Thank you for moments of hope,
for times when things change for the better,
and for people who notice us and care for us.

Help us to be people who bring hope to others—
through kindness, courage, and care.

When we feel unsure or alone,
remind us that things can change,
and that we are never truly forgotten.

Amen.

Swimming Lessons

We are very excited to be launching on-site swimming lessons directly after the Easter break.

If anyone has any out-grown swimwear that they would be in a position to donate to school as 'spares', we would welcome such donations in the first week back.

A reminder that each child will need their own costume, towel and suitable footwear to access the pool. Pupils are welcome to wear goggles but these are not a requirement.
