This week at Cradley...

Year 5 have shown super focus and effort in PE, following and creating their own yoga flows with great care and determination, while Year 1 have been busy exploring the features of non-fiction texts in English, developing their confidence and curiosity as young readers and writers. Year 4 have loved using circuits in their electricity topic in Science, building practical skills and excitement for learning, and Year 2 have enjoyed experimenting with different forms of media to create hatch and cross-hatch effects in Art. Year 6 have been a joy to hear as they learn to sing La Bamba in music, and Year 3 have delighted in drawing and painting abstract art inspired by Georgia O’Keeffe. In Reception, children are working really hard on their letter formation, kindly helping one another to create their ‘abracadabra’ letters in the sand trays – a lovely example of teamwork and perseverance.

Collective Worship

After a long journey, God helped the Israelites settle in the land He had promised them. Joshua helped divide the land so that every tribe got a place to live. No one was left out.

Some groups had bigger areas and some had smaller ones, but everyone had a home and a job to do. Special towns were also set aside where people could be safe and cared for.

This showed the people that God cares about fairness and wants everyone to belong and be looked after. When the land was shared properly, the community could live together in peace.

Just like the tribes of Israel, our school is made up of many different people – different ages, talents, backgrounds and personalities.  Some of us are confident leaders, some are kind listeners, some are creative thinkers, some are great helpers. We may all be different, but we all belong here.

Reminders...

Friday 13th February will be an INSET day and therefore closed to all pupils.

We still have a vacancy for a parent governor and would welcome a discussion with anyone who feels they may be able to fulfil this valuable role.
