Thank you to all of our families for your continued support throughout this academic year.

As we bid a fond farewell to our wonderful Year 6 pupils, we wish you every success and happiness as you begin your next adventure. Remember to carry our school values with you wherever life leads—you will always be a valued part of our Cradley family.

Today, we also say a fond farewell to two valued members of our Cradley family – Mrs Brailsford and Miss Woodward.

Mrs Brailsford, our Deputy Headteacher, has been part of the Cradley family for the past seven years and has been an invaluable member of our Senior Leadership Team. Her dedication, passion and unwavering commitment to our school community have been second to none, and she has made a lasting impact on the lives of our children, families and staff. She will be greatly missed by us all.

As Mrs Brailsford embarks on an exciting new chapter as Headteacher of her very own school, we wish her every success and happiness. We know she will be amazing, and we hope she knows that she will always have a place in the Cradley family. Good luck, Mrs Brailsford—we are so proud of you!

Miss Woodward has also been an invaluable member of our Cradley family, providing exceptional support and making a lasting difference to so many of our pupils. She has shared her incredible artistic talents with our school and brought joy to everyone with her infectious laughter and warm personality.

Although we are sad to see her go, we know she will be a fantastic addition to her new school. Our loss is certainly another school's gain! We wish Miss Woodward every success and happiness in her new adventure and thank her for everything she has done for the Cradley community.

As September approaches, we are excited to welcome our new Reception children and their families into the Cradley CE family. We know our current pupils will make them feel at home, offering friendship, kindness and guidance as they begin their own journey with us.

We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to all of our wonderful staff for their unwavering hard work, dedication and support throughout this academic year. We are incredibly grateful for everything you do and wish you all a restful, well-deserved summer break.

We wish all of our families a wonderful, relaxing and well-deserved summer break. We look forward to welcoming you back in September.

We are incredibly proud of our Year 6 pupils, whose hard work, resilience and determination have been reflected in this year's Key Stage 2 SATs results.

An impressive 80% of pupils achieved the expected standard in Reading, with 20% reaching the higher standard. In Writing, 83% met the expected standard, with 13% working at greater depth. Mathematics was another real strength, with 80% achieving the expected standard and an outstanding 37% attaining the higher standard. In Spelling, Punctuation and Grammar (SPaG), 77% reached the expected standard, while an exceptional 47% achieved the higher standard. Overall, 73% of pupils achieved the expected standard across Reading, Writing and Mathematics combined, with 7% working at greater depth.

These results are a testament to the commitment of our pupils, the dedication of our staff and the invaluable support of parents and carers. We congratulate our Year 6 class on all they have achieved and wish them every success as they move on to the next stage of their education.

End of Year Prayer

Loving God,

As we come to the end of another school year, we pause to give thanks for every child, every family and every member of staff who has been part of our journey.

Thank You for the opportunities to learn, to grow, to laugh, to persevere through challenges and to celebrate successes. Thank You for the friendships we have made, the kindness we have shared and the memories we will treasure.

Help us to continue to believe in the gifts You have given us, to belong to communities where everyone is welcomed and valued, and to be happy by finding joy in serving others and walking in Your love.

As we look back on this year, thank You for helping us to live out our school values:

  • to show respect and caring towards one another,
  • to build trust in our relationships,
  • to have the courage to try new things,
  • to persevere when learning became difficult,
  • to show resilience when life was challenging,
  • to offer forgiveness with generous hearts,
  • and to help everyone know they truly belong. As the summer holidays begin, keep us safe wherever we go. Give us time to rest, to enjoy our families and friends, and to notice the beauty of Your creation.

We pray especially for those moving on to new schools, new roles and new adventures. Fill them with confidence, hope and peace, knowing that You go before them wherever they are called.

May we return ready to embrace every child, every chance, every day, continuing to shine Your light in all that we do.

In Jesus' name,

Amen.
