Cradley Church of England Primary School Believe, belong, be happy; every child, every chance, every day

Forest school starts for Year 3

Year 3 will begin forest schools on Friday. This will run until Friday 18th October. A letter will be sent out via Parent mail today.

Dear Year 3 parents

This term your child will be taking part in forest school sessions. These sessions will be run on a Friday morning and each child will have the opportunity to take part in forest schools over 6 weeks. The children will take part whatever the weather as they will have the clothing they need to keep them warm and dry in the colder weather.

For the days your child is taking part they should come to school in old clothes and shoes as they will probably get muddy and dirty. Please send in your child’s uniform for them to change into after their session. If you have any of the following items it would be really useful if your child could bring them in for forest schools.

For Sept-Oct

Woolly hat if it’s cold

Wellington boots

Warm socks 2 pairs would be ideal if it’s a cold day

At least 3 layers of clothes under their coats e.g. extra t shirts or jumpers

All labelled with your child’s name

School will be providing waterproof overalls for the children to borrow.

If you have any extra of these items that you no longer need e.g. your child has grown out of them, if you can bring them into school they would be very useful to us. We will keep the waterproofs in school but should they get very dirty we will need to send them home for you to wash.

Your child will have their first session on the 13th September

The other dates for forest school are: 20th September, 27th September, 4th October, 11th October, 18th October,

Where these dates clash with school Mufti days, we suggest they bring mufti to change into in case they get wet/dirty.

We will let you know should any of these need to be cancelled.

Thank you for your support,

Mrs M Harris
