We have a competition for you! If you want to join in it will help to keep you busy this week and you could use it as an opportunity to raise some money for the NHS too.
How many items can you fit into a little box?
We have attached a template to make sure everyone uses the same size box—it is a 6cm cube. You could print it off and assemble it or if you haven’t got a printer copy it on to a piece of paper - every side should measure 6 cm—and cut it out and glue it together
Then decorate it however you like—with rainbows, the NHS logo, our school badge or values, or the names and pictures of people you love. Once you have your box, the challenge is to fit in as many tiny items as you can– the more the better!
· Only one of each item is allowed (no filling the box with grains of sand or rice!)
· No duplicates (if you put a seed of every fruit or flower its still just counts as one seed)
· No body bits thank you! (hair or nails etc)
· No living or dead things (ants, spiders, beetles etc)
Keep an itemised list of what you have put into your box, along with the total number. Of items
You can do this just for fun, or you could be sponsored by family members to see if you can find more than 20 / 30 items/ 40 items; you can set your own target. We have set up a just giving page and we have attached a sponsorship form to record sponsors if you want to, but you don’t have to.
When you have finished send us a picture of your box on Twitter or Microsoft teams and let us know your total. You could tell us the best/funniest/strangest item you’ve put in, but don’t tell us all of them as you don’t want to give all your good ideas away! Keep your box safe and bring it back to school when we re-open.
There will be a prize in each class for:
· The best decorated box
· The most items fitted in the box
· The most unusual item in the box
Good luck and happy hunting!
