We are delighted to welcome our new Forest School teacher, Mrs Elwell, to Cradley CE. She has already been hard at work developing an exciting new outdoor classroom, complete with a range of interest areas, new seating and a fire pit – where we look forward to enjoying some delicious fire-roasted treats in the coming weeks! Two classes each term will have the chance to take part in Forest School as part of our curriculum offer across the academic year, giving every child the opportunity to learn, explore and thrive in the great outdoors..

Thanks to the hard work of Mrs Darby and Miss Lawrence (and friends), we now have a brand-new library area where books are organised in easy-to-access boxes by author, making it simpler for children to find and enjoy their favourites. This is just the beginning – they have plenty more exciting ideas in store, so watch this space for further developments!

Led by Mrs Shackleton, our Nurture Programme will offer both small group sessions and one-to-one support, helping children build confidence, resilience and positive relationships.

We are proud to run a Junior PCSO (Police Community Support Officer) Programme in partnership with PCSO Mich Hall. Children are invited to apply for this special role and, if successful, take part in a 6-week course of learning and training.

The programme gives pupils the chance to develop leadership skills, learn about safety, responsibility, and respect within our community, and work closely with the police to understand how they help keep people safe. At the end of the course, our Junior PCSOs receive a certificate of achievement and are encouraged to take on an active role in school, helping to promote positive behaviour, kindness, and care for others.

This is a fantastic opportunity for children to grow in confidence, show perseverance, and make a real difference—living out our vision of Believe, belong, be happy; every child, every chance, every day.
